Individuals who have suffered trauma are at a significantly greater risk for substance use disorders. As a result, we develop each client's plan to consider the potential impact of past experiences on present engagement with treatment. Through trauma-informed care, Lighthouse Recovery counselors are better equipped to identify an individual's vulnerabilities and strengths on the path to recovery.
